From the Company Program Plus to the Delta LEAD Girls Camp: Jordan’s Leadership Journey

For Jordan Leigh LeGrange and many learners like her, the journey began with the JA South Africa Company Program Plus. Junior Achievement South Africa’s flagship entrepreneurship program designed to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and experience needed to thrive in the world of work and business.

The Company Program Plus gives Grade 10 and 11 learners the opportunity to transform business ideas from concept to reality through hands-on entrepreneurship and real-world business experiences. Throughout the program, learners develop practical skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, innovation, financial literacy, and problem-solving; empowering them to pursue future careers or even start businesses of their own.

Learners from nine provinces across South Africa participate in the program every year, with top-performing teams advancing to the prestigious JA Company of the Year (COY) Competition. National winners then go on to represent South Africa at the regional finals.

As part of the national COY experience, learners participate in boardroom interviews and company presentations that test not only their business knowledge, but also their leadership potential, confidence, and ability to think critically under pressure.

From this process, 15 young South African girls are selected for the Delta LEAD Girls Camp, a transformative opportunity that brings together young women from across Africa for a week of leadership development, mentorship, personal growth, and cultural exchange.

Earlier this year in March, Jordan Leigh LeGrange from Glendale High School in the Western Cape was one of the girls selected to travel to Ghana for the Delta LEAD Girls Camp 2026.

Throughout the week, participants explored leadership, personal branding, advocacy, health, communication, and the power of embracing their African identity on the global stage. They were coached, challenged, and inspired by accomplished leaders who shared their experiences and encouraged the girls to dream bigger, lead boldly, and create meaningful impact in their communities.

In this video, Jordan reflects on her experience and shares how the lessons and leadership insights gained at the Delta LEAD Girls Camp can be transformed into action back home in South Africa.
